Please welcome the Type 543, our new 3-way ball valve. It is compatible with and shares common parts with our 546 2-way ball valve. Union nuts and end connectors are the same as the 546. The 543 has all the design features of the 546, including buttress threads, mounting insets, and lockable handle.
The previous 3-way ball valve, Type 343, will be available through September 2009. Components for the 343 will be available for 5 years.
Currently, both the 543 and the 343 are available in PVC and CPVC. PVDF and polypropylene versions of the 543 will follow in the next 60-90 days. Both the 543 and 343 are in the 2009 Valves and Instrumentation Price List and are priced the same. Actuated versions of the 543 are also available and can be found in the new price list. Valve dimensions and union components are not compatible between the 343 and 543 3-way ball valves.
